# Skate Crates

> I created Skate Crates with Martina to bring people together through skate music, movement, and memorable community experiences. From curated sounds and DJ-led sessions to themed skate events and boutique gatherings, I help skaters find their rhythm and connect with others. My focus is creating welcoming, energetic spaces where music, skating, and shared culture come together across diverse communities.

- **What is a community skate event?** A community skate event brings people together to enjoy roller skating, music, and a shared social atmosphere. Events may include themed sessions, DJs, dancing, and opportunities to connect with other skaters.
- **Do I need to be an experienced skater to participate?** Community skate events can welcome people with a range of skating abilities. Participants should choose movements and activities that match their comfort level, while beginners can learn by observing, practicing, and enjoying the atmosphere at their own pace.
- **What should I bring to a skate session?** Participants generally bring their own skates and any personal safety equipment they prefer to use. Comfortable clothing, water, and a positive attitude can also help make the experience more enjoyable.
- **What kind of music can I expect at a skate event?** Skate events often feature music selected to support movement, dancing, and social energy on the floor. The sound may include dance, disco, R&B, classic skate tracks, remixes, and other styles suited to the event's theme.
- **How can I help create a positive skate community?** Respectful behavior, awareness of other skaters, and encouragement help make the floor enjoyable for everyone. Following venue guidance, giving others room, and welcoming people of different skill levels all contribute to a stronger community.
